Mandolay – La Flavour

Began in Ohio 1967, the twin brothers Pete and Steve Nervo to form the core of what would actually become several bands. Instead of following the path set by the British Invasion, the boys began playing soul tunes and early Motown for their band first called The Blues Soul. After 14 year trip as a teen garage soul band, they became La Flavour to overnight success with the release of the album “Mandolay” in 1980 which was written and produced by Mark Avsec of Wild Cherry fame. Mandolay became a massive hit which packed the dance floors during the twilight of the disco boom. (nDy)
