Alan Price – Just For You

Alan Price has done it all in his career spanning more than 50 years. He formed The Animals in 1962 and creator of the organ parts on Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood and House of the Rising Sun. Price left the band in 1965 followed his craft as a top-flight singer-songwriter and broadening his artistic horizons by scoring films and stage musicals. He introduced the songs of Randy Newman to a wider audience. Later, he appeared on his own television show as well as achieving success with film scores, including winning critical acclaim for his musical contribution to the film O Lucky Man in 1973. Price has also acted in films and television productions. (nDy)

Mungkin publik lebih kenal Eric Burdon sbg vokalis band The Animal. Padahal ada Alan Price sbg pendiri di tahun 1962 yg meracik alunan orgen Don’t Let Me Be Missunderstood serta The House of Rising Sun. Dua lagu yg membawa The Animal turut menjajah Amerika atau British Invasion. Juga bassist Chas Chandler berjasa menemukan Jimi Hendrix di Cafe Wha New York, lantas diajak ke London untuk mengukir sejarah. Bayangkan jika The Animal gak pernah eksist atau bahkan dilupakan, berdampak musik hard rock tak pernah lahir. Banyak lagi kisah menarik tentang para legenda sbg koleksi khas PosMusicA, meski terbatas di luar major label. Pihak yutube sangat tegas dgn klaim hak cipta, maka PosMusicA gak memuat video The Animal melainkan karya Alan Price. Sengaja pada gambar kutampilkan sampul kaset berisi tembang Just For You koleksiku saat SD. Pengalaman yg mungkin berguna bagi penikmat kaset sejak 70an, maupun anak jaman now yg minat dgn selera berkelas tapi gak populer. PosMusicA memang bukan cuma melestarikan sejarah dan kenangan, juga tentang pola pikir untuk melanjutkan hidup bersama musik. (nDy)
